Rescue Successes
Our Aims at Dog Logics
• To educate people to make an appropriate
choice of pet dog
• To help people who are looking to take on a rescue Border
Collie
• To help dog owners who require assistance with their
rescue dogs
• And most importantly, to help the individual dogs
Why do we need Rescue?
When a dog takes up residence in a household ill-informed
or unable to provide what is needed for the development of a well-behaved
dog, they usually end up being a dog that is 'too much to handle'
- a problem dog.
These dogs get resold, given away, surrendered to animal shelters
and even dumped. There is a small chance that their new home will
understand their needs better than the first, but they may not even
find a new home. These may not just be dogs that have temperament
problems; they can simply be untrained and therefore uncontrollable.
The fact is that of the many thousands of dogs which are destroyed
in Australia each year who went that way for the lack of someone
to seek them out an appropriate home.
If you or someone you know has a problem dog, perhaps
I can offer some advice. A poorly behaved dog is unlikely to 'grow
out of the behaviour'. They usually need to be taught how they ought
to behave. If in doubt, ask me - it doesn't cost anything to ask.
Contact me at Dog Logics if you would like to adopt a rescue dog
or if you need help and advice with one you already own.
This rescue service is privately operated and funded
I am always in need of help either by way of donation money or food,
towels, bedding etc. Perhaps you would like to foster a rescue dog
until a home is found if so please contact me and join the dedicated
team.
